Job Summary
Lead the growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the Mineral Processing practice by defining vision for a multidisciplinary team of engineers and metallurgists. Drive global business development across base, precious, critical, and industrial minerals markets while acting as a recognized subject matter expert to command client confidence at the executive level. Manage feasibility, trade-off, and optimization studies alongside detailed engineering design, owner's engineer support, and operational reviews covering comminution, separation circuits, hydrometallurgy, and tailings management. Deliver solutions for greenfield plants, brownfield expansions, and process audits while mentoring the next generation of processing engineers. Requires a Bachelor's in Mining Engineering with 10+ years of experience, CEng/PE registration, and willingness to travel globally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering (or related field)
- Willingness to travel globally
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering preferred or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 15+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing design and engineering
- Experience working in consulting or EPCM environments on multidisciplinary mining projects
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Familiarity with international standards and codes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing technical workstreams, and delivering client-focused solutions
