Job Summary
The Miner role supports mining operations and remediation at Harrison Western, performing site cleanup, material handling, and operation assistance for heavy equipment. Key duties include operating mining equipment (drills, muckers, trucks, forklifts), installing/removing pipelines and vents, concrete formwork/pours, rehabilitation and advancement of works, ventilation/utilities installation and maintenance, intermediate steel installation and welding, equipment maintenance, safety compliance with OSHA/MSHA/environment rules, daily jobsite inspections, and potential crew leadership/mentoring. Requires reading blueprints, hazard recognition, strong work ethic, valid driver’s license, ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and obtain ATF clearance, ability to work up to 12-hour shifts underground/in all weather, and physical capability to lift 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ prior mining experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Recognize hazards and safety risks
- Have a current Driver’s License and Dependable Transportation
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to obtain an Employee Possessor Permit from the ATF
- Regular attendance required
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts (day or night)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work underground and outside in all types of weather
- Ability to work within confined spaces and in the dark
