Job Summary
The Miner will operate and support mining operations by handling equipment such as drills, muckers, trucks, and forklifts, assist with installing/repairing pipelines, conduct concrete formwork pours, contribute to rehabilitation and advancement of works, install and maintain ventilation and utilities, assist with intermediate steel installation and welding, identify hazards, perform daily jobsite inspections, and follow safety regulations (OSHA/MSHA). The role may involve leading small crews and mentoring new employees on site. Key skills include reading blueprints, hazard recognition, physical endurance for long shifts, and the ability to work underground and in adverse conditions; candidates must have ATF clearance and pass drug testing, with eligibility for an Employee Possessor Permit. The position offers hourly compensation ranging from $32.00 to $35.00 DOE, with per diem and several benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ prior mining experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Recognize hazards and safety risks
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug testing throughout employment
- Ability to obtain an Employee Possessor Permit from the ATF
- Must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts, day or night
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
