Job Summary
Hand scale or mechanically scale mine back and roof bolt, crush ore, and run skip pockets as needed. Operate mobile and stationary equipment, use hand tools, and perform associated support jobs including transportation of explosives, forklift operation, and preventative maintenance. Conduct pre-shift and work area inspections to ensure safety and equipment functionality while maintaining quality standards. Gain general knowledge of the mining cycle, including drilling, blasting, and mucking, alongside basic maintenance and underground housekeeping tasks. Rotate shifts up to seven days per week in an underground environment with rotating work locations within the Viburnum Trend.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain ATF clearance
- Required to work rotating shifts up to 7 days per week
- Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds
- Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds
- Requires clarity of vision
- Three-dimensional vision
- Ability to judge distance
- Spatial relationships
- Precise hand-eye coordination
