Job Summary
Mine Superintendent for the Silvertip underground operation in British Columbia on a two-week in/two-week out shift rotation. Responsible for creating, modifying, and delivering a full range of engineering processes, leading safety culture, ensuring compliance with the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Miners in BC, and coordinating with Geology, Engineering, Milling and Maintenance to support Life of Mine objectives. Develop and monitor the operational budget, drive continuous improvement, prepare regular KPI and reports, manage scope of work and special projects, and ensure proper indoctrination of staff to corporate safety policies. Requires a P.Eng. in Mining, Geology, or related field, 15+ years mining experience with 10+ years in progressive supervisory roles, and a valid driver's license; must be physically fit and proficient with computing tools.
Required Qualifications
- P.Eng.(in Mining, Geology or related) registered in British Columbia
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years mining engineering experience with ten (10) in progressive supervisory or technical roles
- Proven safe work record
- Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
- Required Valid driver's license
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the position
