Job Summary
Mine Site Administrator role responsible for comprehensive administrative support across the site, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining records and budgets, coordinating daily operations, and serving as the point of contact for employee inquiries. Key responsibilities include managing site health & safety documentation, assisting in MSHA reporting, tracking worker compensation claims, ensuring data accuracy in production hours and safety metrics, preparing quarterly MSHA reports, and maintaining compliance through organized records and timely submissions. The role requires strong organizational and multitasking skills, proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, ability to handle confidential information, and the capacity to work independently or in a team within a mining/industrial environment. The position emphasizes maintaining a drug- and alcohol-free workplace, effective communication, and participation in site-wide safety and operations initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, mining or industrial environment preferred
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations and worker compensation processes is an asset
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Current and valid driver’s license
