Mine Project Engineer

Mine Project Engineer at Weeks Island responsible for applying mining engineering knowledge to plan and execute capital and expense projects, supervising contractors and internal labor, supporting maintenance integration of new assets, and assisting with surveying, updating mine maps, and daily production records. Must be able to conduct feasibility studies, prepare and submit project expenses and capital requests, design and supervise engineering projects, maintain mine drawing and records, coordinate with buyers/vendors/contractors on equipment purchases (e.g., loaders, fans, conveyors), and conduct mine inspections including ventilation studies and rock mechanics. Requires ability to work in an underground industrial environment and coordinate with management, production, and maintenance personnel; lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
