Mine Pit Design Engineer

Job Summary
Design, update and optimise pit designs in accordance with geotechnical and safety guidelines within budget. Adapt plans rapidly to geological deviations and ensure redesigns are accurate and cost-conscious while aligning with the long-term mine plan. Manage the section’s expenditure, build and maintain stakeholder relationships, and provide input on ventilation, environmental considerations, and the broader mining lifecycle. Requires 3-5 years of operational Mine Planning experience and relevant mining engineering qualifications; Band 6 (D2/D3) level in Technical & Integrated Planning. Based in Postmasburg, South Africa.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 / N3 Technical
- National Diploma in Mining Engineering (NQF6)
- B-Degree/B Tech in Mining Engineering (NQF7) is preferred
- SA Drivers Licence
- 3-5 years of operational Mine Planning experience
