Job Summary
Senior Mine Engineer role at Seabee Gold Operation within SSR Mining. Responsible for designing and developing mining-engineering processes and practices to support departmental targets; supports planning, scheduling, ventilation, ground control, services, and project activities; drives safety culture; creates/automates reports and analyzes mine performance; collaborates across the organization to identify improvements and optimize processes; contributes to medium/long-range mine plans and ensures compliance with industry standards; requires experience with Deswik.OPs and a strong command of data/tools for decision support; remote camp work arrangement with fly-in/fly-out logistics.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma of Technology in Mining or degree in Mine Engineering or related field with underground mining experience
- fifteen (15) years underground mining related experience (for diploma/tech) or ten (10) years underground mining related experience (for degree)
- experience with Deswik and Deswik.OPs is an asset
- strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Query, Power BI)
- ability to work in a remote camp environment with 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule
- ability to meet security screening requirements
