Job Summary
Assist with short- and medium-term mine planning, production scheduling, and underground development tracking to support safe and efficient mining operations. Monitor production progress, compare actual performance against mine plans, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and planning updates. Conduct field inspections, collect operational data, and collaborate with Operations, Geology, Survey, Geotechnical, and Maintenance teams to coordinate development activities. Identify opportunities to improve mine productivity, efficiency, and safety, and assist in updating mine designs, schedules, and planning documentation while ensuring work adheres to company standards, regulatory requirements, and safe mining practices. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- 1–3 years of mining engineering experience, preferably in an underground mining environment
- Knowledge of mine planning and scheduling principles
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik, MineSched, Vulcan, Datamine, or similar
