Mine Captain

Oversee the performance of mine supervisors and their crews; plan and coordinate required production activities to safely meet KPIs; chair pre-shift briefings and end-of-shift de-briefings; ensure all personnel follow company policies, procedures and safety standards; lead in safety and environmental performance, incident reporting, and safety initiatives; maintain safe work practices, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations for Mines and Mining Plants; mentor and develop staff, provide coaching and performance feedback, participate in continuous improvement, and communicate with leadership to align on goals and directives; work environment: 80% underground and 20% surface; in-person collaboration with site management to ensure safety leadership and operational efficiency.
