Job Summary
Deliver living goods and hard materials from the Minden Greenhouse farm to retail centers in the Reno/Sparks area while ensuring all shipments include proper documentation. Load and unload cargo, refuel and clean the vehicle, and perform daily mechanical inspections to maintain safe operation. When not driving, assist with greenhouse operations including planting, watering, moving materials, and maintaining irrigation systems. Uphold safety policies, follow traffic laws, and report any incidents to managers. Maintain a positive attitude with customers and teammates while keeping your driver's license current. This role requires a valid license, clean record, two years of experience, age 23 or older, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Work a regular 40-hour week Monday through Friday with availability for mandatory overtime and Saturday shifts during peak season.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Minimum two (2) years of experience
- Minimum Age requirement is 23 years old
- High school diploma
- Ability to safely inspect and operate trucks and equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively as well as maintain a professional collaboration with all teammates
- Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Applicant must be able to stand and bend for periods of time
- Applicant must be able to work extra hours when needed
- Must be available for mandatory overtime
- Must be available to work Saturdays during peak season
- Must be available to start the work shift early in the day when required
- Must be able to show up on time everyday ready to for work

- Must be able to get the correct products to the correct clients on time
- Must be able to ensure all products are accompanied with shipping documentation

- Must be able to refuel and clean vehicle
- Must be able to inspect truck for mechanical issues relating to safe operation, and basic repair work
- Must be able to follow all traffic laws
- Must be able to report any incidents or mechanical problems to the Minden farm manager and Fleet manager
- Must be able to keep driver license up to date
- Must be able to assist greenhouse teammates in providing care of the plants, including planting, watering, moving materials around the greenhouse such as containers, soil, fertilizers, etc.
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance on and modifications to a variety of greenhouse and nursery equipment
- Must be able to maintain irrigation systems, foggers, etc.
