Job Summary
Assemble complex industrial machinery from fabricated components in Milwaukee, read blueprints and schematics, and verify assemblies meet quality standards. Travel throughout North America to install, start up, and troubleshoot equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and conduct preventative maintenance inspections. Train customers on operation and maintenance, complete service reports, and support internal and external teams while maintaining a safe work environment. This 50/50 split role offers continuous skill development in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting for a growing manufacturer.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the year
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial assembly, millwright, maintenance, or field service experience
- Experience with heavy industrial equipment
- Overhead crane and rigging experience
- Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
- Welding experience (preferred but not required)
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Equipment installation or startup experience
- Previous customer-facing field service experience
