Job Summary
Assemble, install, repair, and maintain grain bins, dryers, conveyors, augers, and structural components on commercial and on-farm projects. Read blueprints, layout drawings, and manuals to perform mechanical assembly, bolting, alignment, adjustments, and troubleshooting using hand tools, lifts, and skid steers. Assist with basic welding, cutting, fabrication, and field modifications while working safely at heights on elevated structures. Maintain clean, organized work areas and travel up to 60% to project sites, including overtime during busy seasons.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in millwright work, grain-bin construction, agricultural construction, structural steel, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed installation instructions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work safely around heavy equipment
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attendance
- Team-first attitude
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
- Willingness to work overtime when project needs require it
- Valid CDL
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights and performing physically demanding work
Desired Qualifications
- Grain bin, grain dryer, conveyor, auger, elevator, or material-handling experience
- Welding, cutting, fabrication, rigging, or structural steel experience
- Valid CDL, or willingness and ability to obtain
