Job Summary
Millwright in Burlington, ON responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical equipment (presses, slitters, dies, conveyors). Perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, motorized, and mechanical production machinery; troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens & Allen Bradley); read diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specs; use fabrication, machining, and welding skills; perform light electrical troubleshooting; maintain organized stock of mechanical/electrical parts; uphold safety and workplace standards. Requires licensed 433A, 3–5 years mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, and 12-hour continental shifts with a rotating 2-week schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Millwright (433A)
- 3–5 years mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing
- 12-hour continental shifts
- Ability to work rotating shifts (2-week rotation)
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specs
- Use fabrication, machining, and welding skills as needed
- Perform light electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical design work
- Troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
- Maintain an organized stockroom for mechanical/electrical parts
- Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by following all policies and procedures
