Job Summary

Diagnose, disassemble, and inspect electric motors and rotating equipment to identify wear, damage, or performance issues. Repair or replace defective components, including field cores, bobbins, and armature cores, to restore motors to proper operating condition. Perform routine preventive maintenance, diagnostic testing, and assembly while fabricating copper connections such as rings and jumper leads. Record production data and maintenance activities accurately. Ensure all work meets safety guidelines and quality control standards. Requires high school diploma, 1–2 years of experience, and steady hand skills.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to identify, inspect, and test various types of AC/DC motors
  • Skilled in handling fine motor tasks such as cutting, stripping, grinding, bending wire leads, and soldering coil ends
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a steady, dexterous hand
  • Ability to interpret instructions, listen actively, and make timely, informed decisions
  • Basic understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control principles
  • Ability to work under close supervision and follow established procedures

Desired Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in an electric motor repair or similar industrial repair environment
