Job Summary
Inspect, repair, and maintain mobile and stationary production equipment while adhering to preventive maintenance programs and OEM guidelines. Troubleshoot, adjust, and overhaul systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor mechanisms to minimize downtime. Accurately document all work, track equipment status, and respond promptly to breakdowns across the manufacturing facility. Collaborate with management and team members to uphold safety practices and share technical knowledge. This role requires a Red Seal Millwright to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, utilizing strong diagnostic skills and basic computer proficiency within a North American horticulture leader.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Manitoba Millwright or inter-provincial Red Seal Millwright
- Ability to work in a rotating shift environment
- Proven verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment
- Computer knowledge
- Basic electrical understanding
- You work well in a production environment, within a team setting and have effective interpersonal and communication skills
- You are available to work from a variety of 4 different shifts which can offer occasional overtime
- You can communicate effectively in English
- You can work independently and multitask within a fast-paced environment
- You are a true team player who respects and places a high value on safety
Desired Qualifications
- Related training in repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and conveyors, dozers and hoppers
- Strong diagnostic abilities with a variety of equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- You like working both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
- You possess basic level computer skills — MS Office, Excel, Outlook — and can operate a PC-based CMMS system
