Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards. Actively participate in Drax Safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training, while supporting leadership in mentoring employees and ensuring proper documentation. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning and execution, and champion the Drax Safety Program by mentoring Millwright Apprentices in their professional development. Maintain high housekeeping standards and utilize SDS for chemical safety training. Requires Red Seal certification and 5+ years in heavy industry. Hourly wage $56.81 in Entwistle, AB.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation and work order systems
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
