Job Summary
Millwright role at Nestlé Harrismith factory focusing on planned maintenance of plant, installation, service, repair and maintenance of equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, shrink tunnels, etc.), faultfinding on PLCs (Allen Bradley) and VSDs (Rockwell, Schneider, SEW), and reading technical drawings. Requires a Millwright Trade Test with Minimum N3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years’ experience; responsibilities include proactive equipment performance improvements, maintenance under pressure, and coaching production operators. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and TPM knowledge are essential. Location: Harrismith, South Africa; on-site manufacturing role.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum N3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a Millwright Trade Test
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Millwright trade
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- In depth knowledge of maintenance practices
- Coaching and mentoring production operators
- Knowledge of TPM
