Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the granule plant, including crushing, coloring, and conveying systems. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, dismantle and reassemble units using hand and power tools, and fabricate repair parts. Read mechanical drawings and schematics to assess wear components and ensure compliance with MSHA and company safety standards. Utilize the Maximo CMMS to maintain accurate records and work orders while collaborating with operators and production personnel. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and wear required PPE. Rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices
- Minimum of five years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience welding, fabricating, and installing mechanical equipment
- Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical lubrication, coupling, alignment, and wear components
- Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals
- Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior millwrights
- Possess superior analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
- Ability to work in a team setting with other tradesman
- Rotating shift, holidays, and overtime may be required
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
