Job Summary
The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Key duties include maintaining machinery such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, and production equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical failures, and adhering to safety regulations. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, Millwright certification, and 3-5 years of industrial experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints are required, along with proficiency in hand tools and an understanding of hydraulic systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Millwright certification or equivalent industrial maintenance training/apprenticeship
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, man lifts, and rigging/lifting equipment
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond to after-hours maintenance calls as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (MIG/TIG/Stick)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or TPM practices
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, MP2, or similar)
