Job Summary

Repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial equipment used in manufacturing and production operations. Install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move equipment on work sites, including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and piping. Use hand and power tools to assemble, align, and adjust machinery while reading technical instructions and blueprints. Troubleshoot unexpected issues, perform preventive maintenance on older machines, and conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Assist with jobsite safety, maintain records, and provide recommendations to management regarding new machinery.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches
  • Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to problem solve and develop solutions
  • Follows directions of manager / lead / superintendent and clarifies responsibilities if needed

  • Ability to follow safety protocol and to report any incident, unsafe act, or unsafe condition immediately to the site supervisor and safety manager
  • Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10 hour within 60 days of starting at hth companies
