Job Summary
Install, align, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications while troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to conduct preventative maintenance across various parts of the mill. Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to maximize machine center performance and improvements. This full-time role at Gilchrist Forest Products requires at least two years of industrial maintenance experience and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Journeyman or welding certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is required (at least 2 years)
- Comprehensive understanding and ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman or welding certification is a plus
