Job Summary
Foreman leads a crew of millwrights for installation, maintenance, repair, and dismantling of industrial machinery, serving as the primary link between project management and field workforce to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with high precision. Responsibilities include receiving and executing instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs, inspecting equipment for defects, determining repair methods to minimize production interruption, advising on shutdowns when needed, dismantling and reassembling machinery, aligning gears and bearings, operating basic machine tools, adjusting equipment, performing temporary and permanent repairs, and coordinating with repair crews during emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
- Must have a general knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Must be able to assemble, install and test machines and equipment to make sure they are working correctly.
- Able to use machinery or equipment, such as forklifts to move mechanical parts.
- Experience overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing defective pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
- Must be able to manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
- Must be able to pass the Millwright Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
- Must complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.
- Must maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.
