Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment while collaborating with other trades. Actively participate in safety culture through DATS conversations and observations, utilizing SDS for chemical safety training and engaging in the OH&S Committee. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning, ensuring safety and timeliness. Mentor Millwright apprentices and support leadership in training employees to ensure proper documentation and competence. Maintain high housekeeping standards in the department. Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation and work order systems
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
