Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment while maintaining high housekeeping standards. Actively participate in safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training, utilizing SDS for chemical safety and engaging in the OH&S Committee. Mentor Millwright Apprentices in professional development and support leadership in ensuring proper documentation and competence. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning and execution to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness. Maintain clear communication on company radios and complete Plant Operator Development Program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation and work order systems
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
