Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards. Actively participate in Drax Safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training while engaging in the OH&S Committee. Mentor Millwright Apprentices in professional development and ensure proper documentation for team competence. Assist in project planning and execution for shutdowns and strategic capital projects. Maintain high housekeeping standards in the department and utilize SDS for chemical safety training. Requires Red Seal certification and 5+ years in heavy industry. Hourly wage of $50.69 in Lavington, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker

- Good mechanical aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation
- Proficient in work order systems
