Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards. Install, inspect, and repair mechanical equipment while collaborating with other trades. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning, ensuring safety and timeliness. Mentor Millwright apprentices and support leadership in training employees, ensuring proper documentation and competence. Actively participate in safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training, while utilizing SDS for chemical safety education. Engage in the OH&S Committee and maintain high housekeeping standards. Requires Red Seal certification and 5+ years in heavy industry. Hourly wage is $50.69 in Lavington, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Good mechanical aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation
- Proficient in work order systems
