Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment while collaborating with other trades. Actively participate in safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training, utilizing SDS for chemical safety and maintaining high housekeeping standards. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness. Mentor Millwright apprentices and support leadership in training employees to ensure proper documentation and competence. Engage in the OH&S Committee and communicate clearly on company radios. Requires Red Seal certification and 5+ years in heavy industry.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Problem-solving skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation
- Proficient in work order systems
