Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards. Actively participate in Drax Safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training while utilizing SDS for chemical safety protocols. Mentor Millwright Apprentices in professional development and champion the company's safety program. Engage with the OH&S Committee and maintain high housekeeping standards within the department. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning to ensure timeliness and safety. Requires Red Seal certification and 5+ years in heavy industry. Hourly wage of $50.69 in Lavington, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes

- Good mechanical aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation
- Proficient in work order systems
