Job Summary
Conduct routine daily maintenance on machines, installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment while collaborating with other trades. Actively participate in safety culture through DATS conversations, observations, and training, utilizing SDS for chemical safety and engaging in the OH&S Committee. Assist in shutdown and strategic capital project planning, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness. Mentor Millwright apprentices and support leadership in training employees, maintaining proper documentation and high housekeeping standards. Requires Red Seal certification, 5+ years in heavy industry, and proficiency in mobile equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- 5+ years in heavy industry
- Valid Driver's license
- Independent worker
- Adaptable to schedule changes
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in heavy industry (pellet, particle board, or fibre board preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with wet precipitators and heavy industry operations
- Proficient in mobile equipment operation and work order systems
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
