Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance on pumps, conveyors, compressors, and mechanical systems while operating hoisting devices to position machinery. Diagnose and repair equipment by reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams, including hydraulic equipment and cylinders. Inspect machinery for required repairs and verify all work with proper documentation. Maintain a safe workplace using correct PPE and identify opportunities for process improvements. Perform duties across various shift patterns in the Slave Lake Veneer Division.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification
- Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics
- Mechanical aptitude
- excellent problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Organizational and planning skills
- Must be able to work various shifts
