Millwright - Certified at Golden, BC mill responsible for complete preventative, predictive, reactive, and precision maintenance of conveyors, pumps, fans, and process machinery; reads blueprints and schematics; installs, aligns, dismantles, moves machinery; welds when assembling; operates cranes; inspects equipment; maintains vacuum/hydraulic/pneumatic systems; sets up machinery for new production patterns; analyzes performance; ensures safety and cleanliness; requires Red Seal and Journeyman BC; 2+ years experience.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Journeyman certification recognized in British Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in industrial environments including heights and confined spaces
