Job Summary
Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures for power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Inspect machinery for irregularities, adjust equipment, and perform repairs or part replacements using hand and power tools. Operate lathes and mill machines to fabricate parts for overhauls, assemble equipment prior to installation, and execute preventative maintenance on production and bakery machinery. Optimize equipment for safety, efficiency, and reliability while complying with food safety, health, and environmental policies. Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Millwright License - Industrial Millwright 433A
- 2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry
- Proven track record working with mechanics, machine shop practices, pneumatic & hydraulic fields
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable using computers
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Capable of occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with unique daily challenges
- Availability for a flexible shift schedule, including day/afternoon/night shifts, Sunday to Saturday, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food industry is highly preferred)
- Must have a valid driver's license
