Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and preventive maintenance on bearings, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and turbines at the Blue Point Complex. Install, troubleshoot, service, and replace rotating equipment while executing shaft alignment using dial indicators and laser tools. Complete assigned work safely, including rigging, lifting, climbing ladders, and operating man lifts. Inspect, identify, and repair mechanical components by reading repair manuals and ordering parts. Comply with internal controls and chemical manufacturing safety standards. Weekend work, call-out, and overtime are required.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of industry related experience
- Ability to maintain health, safety, and environmental standards as a personal performance core value
- Basic computer knowledge
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability
- Physical capability, availability, willingness, and ability to work in a team environment
- Good interpersonal and influential skills
- Willingness to work overtime and be on call
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Willingness to travel for training
- Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Self-motivation in advancing to the highest level possible
