Job Summary
Move equipment and machinery using proper rigging and lifting practices, align and anchor cranes, and assemble supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear. Connect pulleys and blocks to overhead structures, clean machine surfaces, and control heavy equipment movement through confined spaces. Dismantle and maintain rigging equipment while manipulating lines to support materials, steel, and concrete. Select appropriate gear based on load requirements and signal personnel to ensure safe execution. Inspect rigging systems to verify safety before lifting operations begin. This permanent, full-time role requires 40–50+ hours per week with overtime potential, travel flexibility, and ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, or holidays. Candidates must possess strong mechanical reasoning, math skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of mathematics, measurements, weights, and load balance principles
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Flexibility to travel, work overtime, and adjust schedules as needed
- Ability to pass a drug test and fit-for-duty assessment
