Job Summary
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation, build machine foundations, and construct or install industrial machinery. Review engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to guide work, then transfer equipment to maintenance sites. Grind and file machinery parts while fabricating buildings and hardwood drying equipment, including servicing dry lines and kilns. Operate hand tools, measuring devices, welding equipment, and metal fabrication tools. Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. This role involves some travel and is based in Cayuta, NY at a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of at least 5 years experience as a Millwright or similar job
Desired Qualifications
- GED/High School Degree Preferred
- an accredited Millwright certificate preferred
- Experience with Cleereman, PHL and other hardwood specialty equipment manufacturers preferred
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and must be able to interface and communicate
- Ability to work independently
