Millwork Freight Specialist

Job Summary
Schedule inbound and outbound delivery of products and orders via contract or company truck drivers. Coordinate trucking arrangements, manage RFN system route assignments, and oversee staging and storage of door material, slabs, jambs, and glass. Create efficient delivery schedules, maintain motor carrier profiles and shipping rates in the Agility system, and monitor hours of service compliance through PeopleNet. Assure timely filing of DOT reports and Driver Services records while creating day-to-day safety awareness regarding DOT and OSHA regulations. May train driving associates and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience
- Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion, and frequent periods of sitting
Desired Qualifications
- Typically three (3) to five (5) years of experience in related job function
- May require technical certification or associates degree
- Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations, requirements and truck driver safety a plus
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to perform tasks in a fast paced work environment
- Requires proficiency in utilizing computer software applications necessary for performing job responsibilities
- Ability to understand and apply addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
