Job Summary
Review architectural, engineering, and interior design drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates for casework, millwork, and finish carpentry. Identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze project requirements to create plans and scopes of work, and collaborate with vendors to secure optimal material pricing. Work with the production team to establish transition plans from estimating to project management while communicating project details to clients, architects, and contractors. Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and client specifications. Maintain accurate records of industry trends and project expenses.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in millwork estimating or related field
- Knowledge of cabinetry and millwork materials and construction techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read architectural drawings and project specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with estimating software is a plus
