Job Summary
DoD SkillBridge internship for Airframe & Powerplant Technician. Interns will assist with routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance tasks under the supervision of certified A&P technicians, participate in inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation, and gain familiarity with FAA Parts 65, 43, 135, and 145 maintenance practices. The program provides hands-on experience across corporate, commercial, or regional aircraft, exposure to FAA regulations and OEM data, mentorship and career-path development, and potential for full-time roles after completion. Location: Kinston, NC, United States. Opportunities to work on aircraft platforms, learn tooling and ground support equipment, and prepare for civilian maintenance roles within a fast-paced MRO environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. military service member approved for DoD SkillBridge participation
- Aviation maintenance background (aircraft structures, propulsion, avionics, crew chief, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with aircraft systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance instructions
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn civilian maintenance practices.
