Job Summary
Milling Operator in the Mechanical Reduction Department operates milling and material processing equipment, performing milling, sifting, grinding, and particle size reduction to process non-ferrous materials and metals. Supports quality control and production tracking, maintains production records, and keeps a clean, safe work area in a heavy industrial environment. Requires adherence to safety procedures and PPE, with 1st shift on-site in Fairless Hills, PA; HS diploma or GED preferred and prior industrial experience strongly preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in hot conditions, and communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in machine operation, milling, recycling, construction, cement mixing, ceramics, or similar industrial environments strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a hot, heavy industrial environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to operating procedures
- Reliable transportation required due to limited public transportation access
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods, including Tyvek suits with supplied air
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around industrial equipment for extended periods
- Ability to work in conditions involving heat, noise, dirt, odors, and industrial materials
