Job Summary
Estimator role in preconstruction for retaining-wall-focused specialty construction. Works directly with the Preconstruction Manager to process bid invitations, perform quantity takeoffs, build cost estimates, coordinate vendor/subcontractor pricing, and assemble complete bid packages. Responsibilities include bid evaluation and pursuit strategy, contract and scope document analysis, quantity takeoff and cost estimating, scope narratives and bid packages, vendor and subcontractor coordination, prevailing wage/regulatory compliance, and pipeline management with administrative support. Requires 2+ years in construction estimating or related field, ability to read drawings/specifications, proficiency with digital takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff), and strong organization and communication skills. Location: Denver, CO; supervision and mentorship from Preconstruction Manager; salary $65k-$75k.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated ability to perform quantity takeoffs and organize estimate data accurately.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with digital takeoff tools (Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar) or demonstrated ability to learn them quickly.
- Organized and deadline-driven.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
