Job Summary
Miller I assists with the setup and operation of milling machinery, including grain cleaning equipment, milling machines, mixing machines, and toting machines. Responsibilities include setting up and operating milling lines and stone mills, hanging totes and creating mixes; maintaining daily production logs; monitoring quality throughout milling, mixing, and toting processes; identifying faulty equipment and notifying leads or supervisors; transporting materials using a forklift; complying with food safety policies and FDA regulations, SQF standards, and GMPs; reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors/Department Manager; and performing additional duties as assigned. The role requires effective verbal and written communication, teamwork, basic math, the ability to read and communicate operational and safety information in English, and the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; OR
- Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
