Mill Trainer

Develop and maintain up-to-date training programs, files, and records for the Mill Department in compliance with federal and provincial regulations. Mentor operators by evaluating their performance, determining competency levels, and providing coaching and technical expertise. Prepare teaching materials and job aids, and deliver training to individuals and groups on-site, in equipment cabs, using simulators, or in a classroom setting. Collaborate with mining team leaders to identify and prioritize training needs, and work with technical personnel to observe and analyze jobs to validate operating procedures. Plan and optimize training schedules within operational deadlines, track and document employee progress, and support strategic planning and budgeting. This role requires a Train-the-Trainer qualification or equivalent, seven years of open-pit mining experience, and five years of relevant training experience. Based in Geraldton, Ontario.
