Mill Operator Trainee

Operate overhead cranes, coil handlers, or forklifts to move coil from storage to machine area. Thread in-coming coils through mill processes and operate mill components using manual and automatic controls. Butt weld and grind strip ends manually while performing and recording all required QA check measurements. Execute equipment setup, routine mechanical maintenance, and repairs to all mill process equipment. Complete and pass the Hel-Cor Mill Certification within one year of hire. High School Diploma or GED required; forklift certification preferred.
