Mill Operator

Job Summary
Operate, inspect, and monitor crushing, grinding, leaching, and carbon elution equipment to ensure safe gold production targets are met. Perform pre-shift inspections, maintain written and DCS logs, and execute mechanical tasks within training scope while keeping the work area clean. Communicate with other operators to maintain operating strategy continuity and exercise discretion in identifying and correcting safety hazards. Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and regulatory policies, including wearing personal protective equipment at all times. Requires shift work, overtime, and weekends; valid driver's license needed. Reports directly to the Mill Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the state
- Must be available for shift work, overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Must comply with all company safety regulations, operation requirements, and efficiency levels
- Punctuality and regular attendance is required
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team
- Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets
- Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices
- Wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times while in the production environment
- Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions
- Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- General background in milling and/or processing preferred
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational, and problem solving skills
