Job Summary
Mill Maintenance General Supervisor role at Highland Valley Copper (Teck) overseeing maintenance activity across trades, staffing, scheduling, and continuous improvement in a safety-first environment. Lead, coach and hold teams accountable to maintenance goals; manage daily/weekly work schedules, budgets, and contractor oversight; apply KPIs (PM compliance, schedule adherence, break in work) to optimize maintenance execution; drive root-cause analysis for equipment failures; ensure safety compliance with CSL and BC Mines Act; participate in industrial relations and safety investigations; coordinate sourcing of maintenance supplies within budget; develop and maintain standards to maximize processing efficiency; leverage CMMS and planning tools; possess strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification, related technical diploma or engineering degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory/lead experience
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, and employee relations skills
- Supervisory experience considered an asset
- Experience in materials acquisition, planning and scheduling
- Experience in value/benefit analysis for improvement initiatives
- Maintenance experience would be an asset
- Strong change management skills
- Self-motivated and driven to produce results and strive for continuous improvement
- Excellent communication, facilitation, human relation and follow-up skills
- Must be a proven team player and work well in a fast paced environment
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system
