Job Summary
Conduct mill maintenance and repair by visually inspecting machinery, performing preventative tasks via computerized work systems, and operating heavy equipment. Execute daily housekeeping duties including cleaning and organizing work areas while prioritizing maintenance based on visual inspections. Work Monday through Friday from 4:30 AM to 5:00 PM on a 55-hour week with alternating weekends, complying with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations. Perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and climbing ladders in various temperatures and dusty environments. Support the Leadership team and fill in for absent employees as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of electrical systems and boilers
- Mechanical abilities
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
