Job Summary
Inspect machinery for proper functioning across electrical, batching, boilers, and liquid tanks; perform preventative maintenance using a computerized work order system and schedule downtime or after-hours tasks. Maintain parts inventory by communicating needs and organizing stock, while documenting observations, work performed, and parts used. Comply with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations, including safety rules and reporting unsafe conditions. Participate in daily housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing millwork areas, and operate heavy equipment or loader machinery as assigned. Work in an environment with loud noise, high temperatures, and exposure to moving mechanical parts, requiring daily use of hardhat, respiratory protection, and other PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of electrical systems and boilers
- Mechanical abilities
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers
- Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent
