Mill Maintenance

Maintains and repairs mill machinery to ensure continued operation by inspecting equipment (electrical systems, boilers, batching, and liquid tanks), performing preventative maintenance via a computerized work order system, and documenting observations, work performed, and parts used. Keeps parts inventory organized, schedules downtime or after-hours maintenance and contract work, and may assist with other duties such as receiving, flaking, and loader operation. Participates in daily housekeeping of mill areas and ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations, maintaining relevant records. Requires understanding of electrical systems and boilers, mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy equipment, ability to read safety and operations manuals, and basic arithmetic across units of measure. Willingness to coordinate projects, adapt to changes, uphold safety and security procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
